Nicole concentrates her practice on labor and employment law, representing employers in discrimination, harassment and retaliation disputes, wage and hour lawsuits, breach of contract cases, unfair competition disputes, and various other matters in arbitration state and federal court. She takes pride in her ability to work closely with clients to understand their business needs, counseling employers on employment policies, training, compensation, severance, and employment agreements. Nicole has experience drafting summary judgment motions, appellate motions, position statements, and client memorandums; managing e-discovery; and directing expert witnesses.
Before dedicating her practice to labor and employment matters, Nicole maintained a broader litigation practice, representing plaintiffs and defendants in breach of contract, bankruptcy, multidistrict product liability litigation, ERISA, FLSA class action, trademark, and various other matters. She also served as a judicial law clerk for the Hon. Andrew M. Edison, U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of Texas.
Nicole is active in the legal community, currently serving a two-year term as a board member for the Asian American Bar Association of Houston Board of Directors. She earned her B.A. from Northwestern University and her J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center, where she was an articles editor for the Houston Journal of International Law.
