New HIPAA Privacy Regulations Strengthen Privacy for Reproductive Health Care [Alert]

Lynn Brehm and Jenna Schaffer discuss the changes that come in response to growing concerns about the confidentiality of reproductive health services following the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision.

As a former employee benefits consultant and underwriter, Jenna leverages her previous professional experience to better assist her clients. She advises clients on a broad array of employee benefit and executive compensation matters, including ERISA, the Affordable Care Act, the CARES Act, the SECURE Act, HIPAA, Pay vs. Performance SEC Disclosure Rules, and Sections 409A, 401(k), and 280G of the Internal Revenue Code.

Jenna brings more than five years' experience in the health and benefits industry. During that time she gained underwriting experience at an internationally known insurance company, as well as consulting experience at two of the nation’s largest insurance brokerage firms. Having worked in different capacities in the employee benefits field, Jenna brings valuable insight when identifying and classifying risk for her clients.

Jenna attended Villanova University’s Charles Widger School of Law, graduated cum laude, and was the recipient of three awards: the Stephen P. Frankino Distinguished Service Award for her editorial work on the Villanova Law Review, the Dorothy Day Award for her pro bono service, and the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for leveraging technology to promote access to justice for pro se litigants. During law school, Jenna served as a legal writing teaching assistant and as an editor for the Villanova Law Review. She also interned for the Honorable Elizabeth T. Hey of the District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and served as a fellow in George Mason University’s Don Lavoie Fellowship program. Jenna earned her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, in risk management and insurance from Temple University's Fox School of Business.

In addition to being a member of the Pennsylvania Bar, Jenna is also a licensed Accident, Health, Life, and Fixed Annuities Producer in Pennsylvania.
