Matt is an experienced litigator who concentrates his practice on large property loss subrogation involving fires and explosions, product defects, utility equipment failures, water damage claims, food recalls, and construction defects across the United States. Matt has successfully tried cases to verdict in multiple jurisdictions and has significant experience in all phases of litigation and alternative dispute resolution.
Matt earned his bachelor’s degree in history and philosophy from Fordham University and his law degree from the City University of New York School of Law where he was an associate editor of the New York City Law Review and a research assistant to Professor Caitlin Borgmann. Matt remains active in the Fordham Alumni Chapter of Chicago and frequently volunteers his time to various social organizations throughout the Chicago area. Matt is a passionate arborist and spends his free time with his wife and two boys in Southwest Michigan.
