Navigating the SEC's Focus on AI Disclosures

Naz Jalali and Rana Ozer discuss the Securities and Exchange Commission's position on public disclosures relating to artificial intelligence in The Legal Intelligencer.

Rana assists clients in capital markets transactions and corporate governance matters. She has experience representing clients on public and private securities offerings, regulatory reporting and filings, corporate governance matters, and stock exchange listing requirements for Nasdaq and the New York Stock Exchange. She also helps manage cross-border business combinations for public and private companies, particularly those in the technology, energy, and financial services sectors.

Before joining Cozen O’Connor, Rana was an associate in the capital markets group of a global Am Law 100 firm. She also practiced for a year with a law firm in Istanbul, Turkey, where she represented clients in white-collar criminal, as well as commercial litigation matters. Rana provides pro bono assistance to startups with their legal needs and helps asylum seekers prepare their asylum applications through the American Red Cross.

Rana earned her B.A. in Sociology and LL.B. in Law from Koc University, in Istanbul, Turkey. She then earned her LL.M. and J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, where she was an associate editor of the Journal of Law and Social Change and a Penn Law Global Women's Leadership Project Student Fellow for UN Women. Rana is fluent in Turkish and English, with intermediate proficiency in French and Spanish.
