Kathy Jaffari will lead a panel discussion on the topic "The Evolving Climate of ESG Governance, Management and Disclosures" at a webinar hosted by The Deal. The topic of ESG has garnered significant attention in recent years and in particular over the last year in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and the cry for racial justice. The panelists will discuss the effects of the recent announcement from the Securities and Exchange Commission regarding the new senior policy adviser for climate and ESG. They will also dive into the increased usage of the ESG criteria by investors as a means of evaluating the long-term growth potential and future viability of public companies, and the lack of uniformly adopted ESG techniques, processes and disclosure thresholds among public companies despite the increased attention to ESG governance, management and disclosures.
